- The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson: You can’t get any better than a contemporary retelling of Stephen King’s Carrie.
- Prom Babies by Kekla Magoon: A prom story with a message and mission.
- Impossible by Nancy Werlin: A perennial favorite that I recommend, this one is about the family consequences for the Scarborough women.
- Throwback by Maurene Goo: Who wouldn’t love to meet your mom when she was in high school?
